  • Isa Katime es una emprendedora en un fructifero sector que se expande en Santa Marta, las bodas! Como wedding planner u organizadora de bodas, su misión es lograr que sus clientes encuentren todo lo que necesitan para no preocuparse y disfrutar de todos los idílicos escenarios de una Boda en el Caribe, específicamente en mi ciudad, Santa Marta.

    Isa llegó a mí a través del trabajo que realicé para Matrimonios films, la empresa de una pareja de emprendedores y amigos, cuya historia publiqué en este post. Me contó que quería algo elegante y sencillo, pero sobretodo legible. Me mandó algunas muestras de logos y el logo que tenía en ese momento, y me contó que se inclinaba por los tonos plata y oro, muy vistos en el tema de bodas.

    Mi propuesta fué un logo romántico que evocara los monogramas de los novios en las bodas y una tipografía script que diera esa nota de suavidad. Le preparé esta versión de su logo con efecto plateado para complacerla, pero para su uso regular preparé sus versiones en colores planos.

    Isa Katime is a  entrepreneurial in a fruitful sector that expands in Santa Marta, the weddings! As a wedding planner, her mission is to get her customers to find everything they need, not worry and enjoy all the idyllic settings in a Wedding in the Caribbean, specifically in my city , Santa Marta.

    Isa came to me through the work I did for Matrimonios films , the company of a couple of entrepreneurs and friends of mine, whose story I published in this post. She told me she wanted something elegant and simple, but mostly legible. She sent me some samples of logos and the logo that she had at that time , and told me that she liked silver and gold tones, very popular in the wedding world.

    My proposal was a     romantic logo that evokes monograms of the couples at weddings, and script typography to give the note of softness. I prepared this version of her logo with silver effect to please her, but for regular use I prepared versions in flat colors.

  • Gianni y Jorge son los cerebros (y el corazón) detrás de Suflé Madrid, una tienda cuquísima con todos los implementos, ingredientes y herramientas necesarios para hacer realidad tu creatividad repostera ubicada en Madrid, España. Aquí encontrarás desde ingredientes y artículos, hasta cursos, libros y celebraciones infantiles con talleres de repostería. Lo tienen todo! Me hizo muchísima ilusión trabajar en el rediseño de su imagen corporativa, no solo porque me pierden las estéticas suaves y femeninas asociadas con el mundo de la repostería sino, porque además soy una dulzaina sin remedio.

    Gianni and Jorge are the brains (and heart) behind Suflé Madrid a super cute shop with all the equipment, ingredients and tools needed to make your creative pastry, based in Madrid, Spain. Here you will find from ingredients and articles to courses, books and children's celebrations with pastry workshops. They have it all! I was thrilled to work on the redesign of their corporate image, not only because I fall in love with the soft, feminine aesthetic associated with the world of pastry but also because I'm a hopeless sugar addict.

    Decidí inspirarme en su nombre "Suflé", un postre ligero y esponjosito, así que mis propuestas estaban orientadas a dar esa idea de esponjosidad. Incialmente querían mantener su paleta de colores pero luego dieron rienda suelta a mi colorido universo creativo y esto fué lo que preparé para ellos.

    I decided to be inspired by his name "Souffle", a light and foamy dessert, so my proposals were aimed at giving the idea of fluffiness. Initially they wanted to keep their color palette but then they gave me free vent to my colorful creative universe and this was what I prepared for them.
    En vez de cambiar la paleta cromática completamente, decidí integrar nuevos colores a los que ya tenían y darle ese tono de "modern vintage" tan en boga por estos días.

    Instead of completely changing the color palette, I decided to integrate the new colors they already had and give that tone of "modern vintage" so in vogue these days.

  • Patricia de Cosas Cantosas es una maestra con mucho arte en sus manos, arte que la ha llevado a crear su propia línea de complementos o accesorios artesanales. Buscando darle un look profesional a su marca, Patricia encontró en los logos prediseñados Cucú una alternativa superlowcost para lograrlo.     Patricia from "Cosas Cantosas"  is a teacher with a lot of art in her hands, She started designing accesories as a hobby and now she has created her own line!.   • Se acerca San Valentín y no puedo más que agradecer a la vida por poder vivir en una burbuja de amor con mi compañero de aventuras. Lo conocí por internet, en un portal de citas y recuerdo que su foto de perfil de dicho sitio no mostraba su rostro, pero una vez tuvimos el chance de enviarnos un par de mensajes, supimos que éramos el uno para el otro. 

    Valentine's Day is coming and I can only thank life for being able to live in a bubble of love with my sidekick. I met him online in a dating site and I remember his profile picture didn`t show his face, but once we had the chance to send a couple of messages, we knew we were right for each other.

    Recuerdo que para romper el hielo (y a sabiendas de que era ilustrador y animador) le empecé a hablar de mi gusto por los comics y mi pasión particular sobre unos textos de Adamov y Cothias llamado Las aguas de Mortelune, una serie de comic books franceses de culto, que sólo quienes conocen algo de este mundillo podrían saber. Dí en el blanco! Mi cupido certero le dió en toda la vena del gusto! de ahi en adelante todo fueron cartas, fotografías, vídeos y muchas, muchísimas canciones de amor, para flanquear, así fuera por poco, el inmenso Oceano Atlántico que nos separaba.

    I remember to break the ice ( and knowing that he was an illustrator and animator ) we started talking about my love of comics and my particular passion about the texts of Adamov and Cothias called Mortelune waters , a series of French comic books of worship, that only those who know something of this world might know . Say the target! My clever cupid gave him throughout the vein of taste from then on everything were letters, photographs , videos and many, many love songs, to flank and off by little, the vast Atlantic Ocean between us.

    De repente, todas las canciones de amor eran sobre él, y no fueron pocas las que llenában nuestros días mientras lográbamos estar juntos. Inspirada entonces en mi media naranja, estuve diseñando esta lámina tipográfica de San Valentín  y a modo de regalo para mis lectores dejo para su descarga gratuita un pdf listo para imprimir que incluye el diseño en A4 y dos postales, tanto en inglés como en español.     Suddenly, all the love songs were about him, and there were many that filled our days while we managed to stay together.   • Han sido muchísimos cambios en mi vida y muchas cosas que estan pasando en el interior de Cucu que publicar un nuevo post parecía una misión imposible! Por otro lado, es un buen indicio, este nuevo año no pudo empezar mejor, tal y como me gusta: lleno de trabajo y cosas nuevas.

    Hoy quiero compartir las imágenes de un proyecto de emprendimiento que me chifla por varias razones, una de ellas, que tengo mucho en común con Katherine, la ideóloga, ya que ambas somos latinas, mamás y emprendedoras y nos abrimos paso en España, un país que poco a poco empiezo a descubrir. Otra razón es que este negocio que se plantea tiene ingredientes que me enamoran:  Es algo novedoso, se trata de regalar experiencias y, digámoslo claro, incluye comiiiidaaa (léase con acento de Homero Simpson)

    Cook and Food Boutique es una compañía joven que brinda Desayunos, brunch y tartas caseras a domicilio, empacados celosa y hermosamente para que sorprendas a alguien con una experiencia deliciosa. 
    Katherine quería un logo vintage, ni femenino ni masculino, un logo versátil que se adaptara a diferentes soportes. 
    Ésto fué lo que diseñé para ella: 

    There have been many changes in my life and many things that are happening inside Cucu´s Studio, so, to publish a new post seemed an impossible mission! On the other hand , is a good indication , this new year couldn`t start better , just as I like : full of work and new things .Today I share some pictures of an entrepreneurship that makes me crazy (in a good way) for several reasons , one of them , I have a lot in common with Katherine , the ideologue , since both are Latino, moms and entrepreneurs and made our way in Spain , a country that gradually I begin to discover. Another reason is that this idea has ingredients that I love : It's something new , it comes to gifting experiences and , let´s say it: it, includes food (read with  Homer Simpson´s accent please)Cook and Food Boutique is a young company that offers breakfast, brunch and homemade cakes at home, beautifully packaged to surprise someone with a delicious experience.Katherine wanted a vintage logo , neither male nor female , a versatile logo that can be adapted to different media.This was what I made for her:
